What is the Bill of Rights? Why is it important?

This webquest will help you learn about the Bill of Rights.

The United States Constitution was written in 1787. In 1791, a list of ten amendments was added.

The first ten amendments to the Constitution are called the Bill of Rights.

The Bill of Rights talks about individual rights.

Over the years, more amendments were added. Now, there are 27 amendments.

In this webquest, we focus on the First Amendment.

The First Amendment protects individual rights or freedoms.
